How big is a red poodle going to be?

Are there many breeds of poodles from Japan, Taiwan, Philippines and so on?

This is the most people’s concern. And the gossip says, Japanese breed of poodle is smaller, but Philippine breed of poodle is always huge.

Sizes: AKC(American Kennel Club) has classed the sizes to three categories： 
 The Standard Poodle：H: 15inches
  The Miniature Poodle：H: 15 inches to 10 inches  
The Toy Poodle：H: 10inches The standard above has only adopted

by America and Canada. In Taiwan, Japan, UK, EU,
Australia and many other countries have another standard to class the size of poodles.

Standard：above 38 cm。 Miniature：28-38 cm。  
Toy ：below 28cm。



Toy poodles can normally live for 15-20 years,
however, if the owner can devote more time to the poodle for it to live longer is also possible. 

☆Health issue☆ Skin health issue is the most common problem in poodles. Mostly because the skin infection and ear infection, however, these two infections are easy to be cured.  

Therefore, poodles have various health issues:
Bone fractures, dislocations, cataract, low blood sugar, teeth malocclusion, etc. As the size of poodle is small and metabolism is very quick, that said, the owner will have to feed the puppy enough food to keep it from get into shock state. 


☆History of poodle☆ The size of poodle has been discovered around 500 years ago. In 17 and 18 centre, poodles were European royal families’ favorite. 
Poodles are trained for duck hunting, however, the royal was hoping for smaller size of poodles.  Since then, around 500 years ago, many people have started to breed and transform the gene of poodle. Soon or later, the toy poodle breed has been documented throughout history.

☆intellectual capacity / IQ of poodle☆ The intellectual capacity of poodle breed has come to second place, just right after Border Collie breed. That said, toy / teacup poodle breed is No.1 in small dog breed.
☆amount of exercise☆ Let your poodle to walk 20-40 minute per day is enough.
From time to time, you may train your poodle some basic tricks or even difficult ones would be applicable. And soon or later you will discover, your poodle might learn much faster than other dogs.
☆Loneliness is painful☆ Toy/teacup poodle breed is a breed that need your accompany most of the time. If you are going to leave your toy / teacup poodle alone at home, the best is to have more dogs or poodles to keep it company.
☆Kids at home☆ Toy/teacup poodles love children very much, they will not be a threat to your children. However, to tell your children how to take care of this little animal is very important!
☆Hair comb and trim☆ Comb your poodle’s hair once a week or more is also applicable. Even though the breed doesn’t have falling hair problem (under a healthy condition), you will still have to comb its hair to tidy it up or your poodle will look a bit messy with its curly hair.   

They will feel very comfortable. Brushing its hair can also stimulate its hair metabolism and build up a good relationship. Normally trimming its hair once in two months would be enough.
☆Color of poodle☆ There are various colors in poodles, white, gray, sliver, coffee brown, apricot, red etc., and the color can be slightly lighter or darker in different body part of the poodle.  

☆Size of toy poodle☆
In AKC（American Kennel Club）, size of poodle is judged from the height not the weight. As we have mentioned in other article, so we are not going to repeat it again.
