special pet grooming experiences with us anytime.

grooming the Teacup Poodles (Teddy Bears) for the first time?
it's fairly normal to feel a little nervous at start,
same for both the owners and their puppies.

Teddy Mommy is here to share her personal experiences
to help you and the Teddy Bears relax...

Teacup Poodle (Teddy Bear)
Grooming Guideline  15: Mental Preparation

try the following 5 steps to help Teacup Poodles (Teddy Bears)
relax before the grooming:

1. friends not foes:
getting your Teacup Poodles (Teddy Bears) to understand that
you
come with good intention for him/her to
slowly develop strong personal trusts in you.
2. gentle movements:

during the grooming, make sure you are soft in voice tone,

tender in gestures and slow in movements to reduce
the nervousness of your Teacup Poodles (Teddy Bears).

3. be quick:

Teacup Poodles (Teddy Bears) too get impatient during the grooming,

grab time and do the cutting as quickly yet carefully
as much as possible while they still have their patience.

4. comfort:
stop the grooming immediately if the Teacup Poodles (Teddy Bears)

appears to be more than just nervous (ie. terrified, vomiting, etc),

do not use physical force on them for any reason.

5. reward:

if you wish to reward your Teacup Poodles (Teddy Bears) with snacks
for their cooperation, we strongly suggest owners to do it after the
grooming as it's going to help Teacup Poodles (Teddy Bears)
develop confidence in grooming and for them to have
a better patience during the grooming next time.

as for preparations to be done before the grooming,
such as brush open the twisted hair, cut their nails,
remove ear hair, and shower, all of those already
makes up over half of the entire grooming process.
and the most important thing to remember after giving your
Teacup Poodles (Teddy Bears) a nice shower is to make sure that
both layers (upper and lower) of their hair are completely dry.
never leave their hair half-dry or slightly damp otherwise it's
very likely for them
to catch a flu or develop various skin disorders.
